Daniel Arcelino Serra went to live in Acre with his uncle when he was just sixteen years old, and there in Alto Santo he adopted the Santo Daime doctrine, worked, got married, started a family and lived for fifty years. At seventy-eight, longing to return to his homeland, he founded the first Daime center in the state, CICEBRIS, in Maranhão. Shortly after fulfilling his mission, he made his transition to the spiritual plane, leaving the request that they watch over the land where Mestre Irineu was born in São Vicente Férrer.
